Fiddlin' on the Farm

John Bret and I went to MSE Friday for John Parker's Fiddlin on the Farm Day. It was such a blast. The kids got to do all kinds of fun stuff like sing, square dance, make butter, pet goats, see horshoes being made and go on a hayride. It was such a special day for John Parker and for us too!!

Hello Kitty

This is Avery's first Halloween when she will actually go door to door trick or treating. She didn't really care for it last year, but loved when kids would come to our door. She would just squeal out. I always thought that I wanted 2 boys, but don't know what I'd do without my sweet baby girl! Not a day goes by that John Bret and I don't talk about the funny, sweet things she does.

The "Irates"

John Parker is playing Fall Ball this year. I have enjoyed it much more than I did when he played in the Spring--I guess because there are less kids, it's more laid back and the weather is so nice. He was upset to find out that it was T-ball again, instead of baseball, but he'll move up next year. He's playing for the Pirates, but John Bret's Dad (Gumps) calls them the "Irates"....haha

Cader Halloween Bash!

We had the best time Saturday night at the Cader's Halloween Party in YC. Michael and Julie had the place decorated so cute, and Julie had tons of fun games for the kids--fishing for prizes, graveyard walk, limbo and of course--pumpkin carving. Everyone had a blast!!

Sunday School

John Bret and I signed up to teach 5K Sunday School this year. It has been so much fun. They are a great group of kids, and I have really enjoyed planning the lessons--especially the crafts. Guess I'm just a big kid myself!

Super Heroes

Here are my two boys John Parker (Hulk) and John Bret (Iron Man) duking it out last night. Boys will be boys, I guess.....haha

You Go Girl!!

Ok, I am not usually one to promote my political views, but did you catch the Vice Presidential debate last night?? It was fabulous. I was so much more impressed with it compared to last week's Presidential debate. Both candidates (Palin and Biden) were respectful and stuck to their individual beliefs and platforms--and of course mentioned their candidate as much as possible. But, I sooooo like Sarah Palin. She's tough, smart and incredibly funny. "Say it ain't so Joe" was priceless. She makes me want to run for office.......
