Are you Ready?? I am!!

It's the most wonderful time of the year!!! ...........Cooler weather, pumpkins, chili, cute boots and most importantly... FOOTBALL!!  We have really enjoyed the first 2 Ole Miss games (especially since the Rebels are 2-0; are playing really well AND have a cute quarterback!! :)  But, my favorite football season this year is that of the green and gold eagles of St. A.  (specifically #30 on the 4th grade team).  John Parker has so enjoyed playing and he had 2 quarterback sacks in their 36-0 victory over Copiah Academy last week.  I'm proud that he has been disciplined enough during the hot weather to go to practice 2-3 days a week and play in the games.  He also is keeping up his grades int he process (and 3rd grade is a big change for him).  So, whoever you cheer for, I hope you enjoy this football season. Hotty Toddy!!

Back to "Cool"

Well, the kids have started another school year with John Parker in 3rd grade and Avery in 5K.  Time passes by so quickly!!  The kids are both very excited about the new year and love their teachers.  I chaired the Back to School Beach Party and had alot of fun.  It's always fun to do creative things with a fun group of great moms!  John Parker has also started playing football for school and is really excited about that.  It looks like he will be the right tackle.  Avery is ready for soccer to start and for her dance classes to begin.  It should be a very fun and exciting year!!

I Love America!

We had a great Fourth of July holiday.  We went to the annual neighborhood celebration complete with boat parade and the awesome fireworks show.  John Bret got up at 5:00 a.m. to set-up the tent near the water and we went back out later that morning to decorate the tent.  Avery had lots of questions about America--does everybody live there?; do we live there?; who chose the flag?' and so on and so on......She just kept saying how much she loves America.  I thought alot about that too.  With all of our country's issues (and we have plenty), who would want to live anywhere else?  I hope everyone thanked God and let him know that they "love America"!!
