Baseball and Ballet

Avery had her first ballet recital Thursday night. I laughed so hard that my sides hurt!! She had a blast--with her mouth wide open the entire time. She couldnt wait to get back out there! John Parker had his first baseball game of the season on Saturday. He did a great job. I really noticed a difference in his focus this season, and he was determined to keep his batting gloves on the whole game! Boy do I love those little stinkbugs!!

Weekend Fun

We had a great weekend. John Parker went to a b-day party Friday afternoon at Pump it Up. It rained Saturday for the Lake Caroline Crawfish Boil, but we still managed to get out for a little while and the kids had a great time. Sunday was a beautiful day for Cajun Fest at church. We enjoyed playing games with the kids and visiting with friends. AND, John Parker won the cake walk on the first try!! You would have thought he won the lottery. He was so excited!! He also had his first "big kid" project at school. He chose to do it on coyotes, and he finished 2 days early (not a procrastinator like I was). John Parker's last week of school is next week. I can't believe it has flown by so quickly, but I'm ready for Summer!!

Mama Mia!!

We had a great Mother's Day weekend. It started Friday night with the St. Anthony crawfish boil. On Saturday we went to Lockard's party and rode horses, went to church and Papito's, and then on Sunday to Yazoo City. I also got a set of Paula Deen pots and skillets. (and I did ask for them :) I'm blessed to be a mother to two beautiful, spectacular children and to have a wonderful mother myself who serves as the best role model. I also have an awesome mother-in-law! What more could a girl ask for??

Lucky 7

Today is John Parker's 7th birthday. I can't believe how fast these 7 years have flown by! He has grown in to such a sweet, sensitive and kind little boy!! We started off the day with cake and presents, brought a Bakugon cake to his class for snack and then went to Toys R Us and Chuck E. Cheese for dinner. After all that he had a 2-hour baseball practice. I know one little boy that should sleep very well tonight (and one Mama and Daddy too!!) Happy Birthday Johnny P!!
