Warrior Dash 2012

This past Saturday we ran the Warrior Dash. It's basically a 5K with 12 obstacles--including the "Warrior Wall" which is a VERY tall wall that you had to use a rope to climb; a cargo net wall; a mud pit; swimming in ice cold muddy water; then swimming over huge logs; jumping over fire; and crawling under barbed wire....among a few other obstacles. We had a great time! It was freezing cold, but still fun. Our entire team (the Mississippi Mud Mamas) conquered every obstacle. Our kids grew up together at daycare. It was great to re-connect. Our outfits were really cute, but totally ruined at the end!!

Lordy Lordy, JB is 40!!

I had a surprise 40th birthday party for John Bret a few weeks ago.  I had to do it nearly a month in advance so he wouldn't catch on.  I can honestly say that he did not have a clue and was very surprised!  We had a great time with family and friends.  I hear 40 is the new 20 (or at least that's what I'm telling myself!!)
