My Favorite Things

John Parker had his Advent program Friday and did such a great job! Avery had her Christmas play (Santa and the Christ Child) this morning and she was the sweetest elf ever!! I can't believe Christmas is just a few short days away.......

Santa Baby

John Parker had his picture made with Santa at the neighborhood Christmas party. It makes me sad that he's almost too big to fit in his lap!! Avery wouldn't get near him--but she would at least allow him to be in the same room, which was a big improvement over last year! John Bret and I had a great time at the Starry Night Gala Saturday night. It was a great event for St. Anthony!

Frosty the Snow Head?

Well....John Parker begged to go out this morning and build a snowman. I knew there wasn't enough snow so we settled for a snow head. He was just as happy! Avery didn't really want to stand next to it. She kept calling it Snow Beast (from Scooby Doo). I'm sure he'll be gone by later today.....

Hansel and Gretel

Tonight was our first attempt at a Gingerbread House! I've always wanted to do one. John Parker decorated the roof and then got bored and ate the candy.....Avery ran around calling it her "castle". It was fun, and it was snowing outside while we made it....Perfect!! Now to clean up the mess and wash up. I've got icing everywhere!! Then we played in the Mississippi snow. Can you believe it?!! This may be the best Christmas ever!
